HHSB Audition Information for Fall 2025
Thank you for your interest in the Hart House Symphonic Band. In-person auditions are scheduled to take place Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 from 4:30-7:30PM. To sign-up, please fill out the following form before September 3rd @ 11:59PM: Sign-Up Form
What do I need to play during my audition?
Part A - Play each of the following scales in two octaves, employing any articulation pattern
- B flat concert
- E flat concert
- F concert
- A flat concert
Part B - Play a chromatic scale, slurred, from your lowest to highest note, ascending and descending, as fast as possible
Part C - Select and perform a one-minute musical excerpt that highlights technical ability
